Hey there, I'm Kaun, a human being.

I live in Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata. And therefore, most of the time at these airports.

​

In the daylight hours, I write and make films. To keep the lights on and the snacks stocked, I moonlight as a Creative Director at an advertising agency. Having worked almost every day of my life since I was 14, I've skillfully rebranded watching films and scrolling through Instagram as 'research.'

​

Anyway, I have been working for over a decade. I started off as an animator, then an editor, assistant director, director, writer, creative director, etc., and maybe something else the next week and the next. I have been fortunate enough to have worked on hundreds of films, including feature-length, short, series, series of shorts, documentaries, etc. And I have written God knows how much poetry, a couple of books, and a bunch of films.

I've now started my own newsletter, "Kaun Kehta Hai?". There, I talk about literature, films, and advertising and share my literary musings. Sometimes, I even rope in my talented buddies to contribute. If you're up for the ride, you can hop on board by scrolling up and dropping your e-mail.
